During this time, I managed a nationwide class action and litigation portfolio; supervised outside counsel and litigation department staff, which resulted in the lowest payout in claims of any division with the company and dismissal claims brought against the company.

Evaluated rates, fees, and loan term disclosures used by the private label credit card business. Reviewed and updated legal compliance manuals reviewed and approved marketing materials. Developed contract and loan documents for GE customers.

Advised the Governor and Lieutenant Governor on policy and legal matters; served as a representative during meetings, seminars, and lectures. Developed and composed policies and procedures to reduce the state’s legal liability. Devised Governor Initiatives and presented them before State Legislature. Developed and managed budgets, including a $31M initiative. Represented the State of Minnesota at settlement conferences and mediation hearings. Provided the State’s responses to employee charges. Trained managers and supervisors regarding legal managerial obligations.
