Teaching Experience
Consultant, Minnesota Sheriff’s Association -- March 1999 - September 1999
Provided training to jail personnel on inmate legal rights, criminal law and government data practices. At the end of the session, employees had knowledge of the constitutional and legal rights individuals retain when incarcerated; the application of the state criminal code with emphasis on the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines; and the distinction between public, private and confidential information.
Visiting Minority Senior Scholar, University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire -- Fall 1998 and Winter 1999
Developed and lectured an intensive one-week course for undergraduates on the legal aspects of business, including employment law. Provided rationale and techniques for diversifying business clients and employees. Presented the brown bag lecture “Affirmative Action in the Next Millennium, Outdated Policy or Needed Practice.”

Employment Discrimination
A course designed for second and third year law students, which examined case law as well as legal theory and principles dealing with discrimination in the work place. By the end of the course, students were expected to have the basic knowledge to assess the merits of an employment discrimination case and advise business clients on effective strategies for avoiding the liability of employment discrimination.
Legal Advocacy
A course designed for second and third year law students that prepared them to compete nationally in moot court competitions. The course required students to prepare an appellate court brief based on a hypothetical district court case
